Whitworths Fruity Biscuit Shot

Whitworths is best known for its dried fruit and dry roasted nuts, both of which are nutritious and healthy but aimed more at the adult market and perhaps bakers to use in their cakes etc. So I was intrigued when I discovered these new handy little snack packs that add an interesting twist on the traditional and sometimes dull fruit and nut mixes that I am used to seeing on the shelves!
This flavour was a 'Fruity Biscuit Shot' and contained sugared pieces of berries and currents, mixed in with yogurt coated biscuit balls. The fruit was soft and contrasted nicely against the crunchy biscuit pieces and worked together to create a wonderful summery flavour. I can imagine that this would be a tasty yogurt topping actually and I may have to try it that way next time!

Graze Box 2

So my second Graze box arrived this week and once again I was not disappointed because in it were some of my all time favourite things, and as always they are completely guilt free and very healthy!

Sticky Toffee Pudding
This is a cute little square of spiced rye and date cake, with a a portion of richly indulgent toffee sauce. The cake was moist and light with a stodgy feel without the heaviness that you would typically associate with it. My favourite part was the sauce though. And oh my goodness it is incredible. I could happily eat a bowl full of the stuff because it is just that good!

Lightly Salted Popping Corn
There is something quite satisfying about making your own popcorn, especially when it is this easy and tastes so good! It took less than two minutes to cook in the microwave and left the the house smelling wonderful. The popcorn itself wasn't greasy or oily but light and fluffy with a light dusting of salt to add flavour. I really enjoyed this and the serving size was rather big and left me feeling satisfied

My Thai
The little rice crackers are nice and crunchy with a spicy coating on them, they were all evenly covered so I wasn't left with any flavourless ones (which can be a nuisance!). They were accompanied by a sweet chilli dip which complemented the crackers nicely.

Deconstructed Carrot Cake
I was a tad wary of this initially, because how can carrot cake be deconstructed? How can it still retain its delicious flavour? But this manages to, it retains the essential flavours of a traditional carrot cake with the crunchy walnuts, yogurty topping and sweet carrot (which admittedly tasted more like dried apricot but I'm not complaining). Overall it did have a nice carrot cake vibe to it and was a filling snack.

Fiery Worcester Sauce and Sun Dried Tomato Propercorn

Popcorn is basically a staple part of my diet, I would be lost without it (okay, maybe I am a little prone to hyperboles but oh well). I love how it can be sweet or savoury, healthy or not quite so healthy and sometimes even a little spicy! Just like today's bag.
This flavour of 'Fiery Worcester Sauce and Sun Dried Tomato' certainly has a spicy kick to it, but not so much that you can't enjoy the subtle and absolutely delicious tomato flavour.
I am not the biggest lover of spicy food but I absolutely love this popcorn, it is filling, fluffy, light and flavoursome, all the whilst remaining very healthy and good for you with less than one hundred calories a bag. They work well as an afternoon snack or as a part of your lunch. Add a little spice to your life and enjoy a bag!

Nak'd Berry Delight Bar

I am a massive fan of Nakd bars because of how utterly delicious they are and how healthy they are-packed with fruit, nuts and sometimes soya crunches, depending upon which bar you are enjoying.
So it surprises me that it has taken me so long to try the 'Berry Delight' bar! The consistency was squidgy and moist with the occasional bite from a piece of nut, which I rather enjoyed because it added a bit if interest in texture.
The flavour reminded me of a sweet and high quality strawberry jam, it was quite a comforting taste that reminded me of jam on toast when I was little, a little nostalgic blast from the past which added to the appeal of the bar.
I enjoyed mine first thing in the morning along with my usual bowl of porridge and cup of green tea. I felt satisfied and full until lunch, I presume this is because of all the protein and fibre in the bars.

Graze Box 1

This week I received my Graze box and I was absolutely thrilled with it. A brilliant variety of items that I couldn't wait to tuck into! And I ended up eating two within the first hour of it arriving... But thankfully it was all guilt free and healthy so more for me hehe!

Graze Brownie
Wow, just wow. This is utterly divine and stodgy with a lovely chocolatey taste that leaves all cravings satisfied. I really enjoyed the little pieces of nuts that were scattered on the top. They added a lovely texture to it!

Banana Cake
Again, lovely. It was moist and sticky and a good serving size, especially when it is less than 60 calories! It didn't even taste like a low calorie cake which was amazing, I was very impressed to say the least

Peanut Butter and Pretzel Sticks
I feel like I am being too generous with these reviews but I honestly can't say how thrilled I am with my box. The pretzel sticks were crispy, salty and had a nice crunch that you would expect from a good quality pretzel. This worked very well with the creamy peanut butter. It was so thick and natural tasting and basically I loved it. It wasn't sweet as you would be used to from more commercial brands like Sunpat or Reeses, but instead it had a much more subtle and natural flavour.

Herby Bread Basket
As expected, it was delicious. Although I wouldn't recommend eating it when you are with people because I couldn't get the smell of garlic off my hands for several hours afterwards! But in saying that I would definitely still eat it because it was really tasty and flavoursome. I bet that these would work wonderfully with a really thick and rustic tomato and basil soup.

Mars Xtra Chocolate

Like most people, I get excited over the little things in life: May it be finding an extra fiver in your pocket or a new chocolate bar being released. In this case you will have probably worked out that it is the chocolate bar because this is a food blog and it would be pretty random of me to just post something along the lines of; 'Look guys, I just found a fiver!' Anyway, I digress...

I can't actually remember the last time I had a Mars bar, well that was remedied last night with this new 'Xtra Choc' limited edition Mars bar! The bar is has chocolate nougat, with a layer of chocolatey caramel and then coated in the typical Mars bar chocolate. I am one of those weirdos that bite all of the chocolate off first, then eats the caramel and finally the nougat, but for the purpose of this review I ate half of it normally so that I could give it a full and comprehensive review.
When eaten as one whole unit at intended it was quite an intense chocolate hit that was rather enjoyable, a variety of textures and tastes that all worked very well together. The chocolatey nougat was my favourite bit because of the flavour being perfectly sweet and indulgent.
Overall I rather enjoyed this bar, it was a nice treat to have at the end of the day. It left me satisfied and gave me a much needed chocolate fix. It was a nice deviation from the classic Mars bar, all whilst retaining the classics components that make it a Mars bar!

Walkers Sensations Cinnamon Popcorn

Popcorn-good. Cinnamon-good. Cinnamon Popcorn... VERY VERY GOOD! As you will have guessed from my opening statement, this review will be about cinnamon popcorn, and obviously I loved it! The cinnamon flavour is sweet with a slight hint of salt which only adds depth and sweetness to the overall taste, to create a sensation (excuse the pun, but I simply could not resist).
Popcorn is a relatively healthy snack in comparison to crisps and other fried goods like that, so I cannot possibly feel guilty about enjoying this treat of an evening! I am thrilled that the popcorn market seems to be expanding and becoming more and more adventurous with bolder and inspiringly unique flavours, that make snacking a pleasure!
Overall, I loved this. I can't praise it enough and I shall be making this a frequent part of my diet.

Blue Diamond Iced Cappucino

Almond Milk is my preferred dairy milk alternative, primarily due to it not really tasting like milk and it being low in calorie with loads of health benefits such as vitamin D, calcium, etc. I use it when making porridge primarily or my breakfast, but have never thought of using it in coffee or tea. I don't know why, but it just never occurred to me, probably because I don't really drink any tea other than green tea, so I suppose it would be odd to add milk to it.

Blue Diamond are one of the main brands of Almond milk here in the UK and they offer varieties of both sweetened and unsweetened, but now they have launched into the iced coffee market with a product that is significantly lower in calories than its competitors, even those that are of a 'lighter' variety.

The flavour is nice enough, sweet with a hint of coffee. I blended mine with a frozen banana so that it was like a frappacino which was absolutely divine! It was more of a dessert like this but absolutely delicious! The banana worked perfectly with the coffee flavour and I thoroughly enjoyed this frosty drink.
