Tesco Banana Bliss Bars

I am a massive fan of Nakd bars but I do think that they can be quite expensive averaging in at about 75p a bar, and whilst I don't mind paying this much for such a delicious and high quality nutritional snack, it just isn't feasible to do all the time, especially because I eat several a day... 

Anyway, when I became aware of these tasty bars (courtesy of the incredible Amy) I couldn't wait to try them! I went straight to Tesco and bought a pack so that I could have one with my evening snack. I liked the packaging on the box how it clearly labelled that the bars were dairy free, because it is an absolute nuisance sometimes checking the ingredients to absolutely everything you buy, and even then you can still easily miss something! I am rambling so I shall get onto the important stuff, what it tastes like.

The flavour of the bar is absolutely lovely, it tastes very natural like a perfectly ripened banana with a nice nuttiness that rounds the bar off well. This is complimented by the texture of the bar, it was soft and squidgy with little crunchy bits scattered throughout which was particularly nice. Overall I can't actually fault this bar, it was delicious, filling, healthy, and an all round great snack! I would strongly recommend it to vegans and non vegans!

Geobars

Geobars are made by a company called Traidcraft who fights poverty through trade, helping people in developing countries to transform their lives. We're the UK's leading fair trade company. All of their products are fair trade and a good majority are vegan. They kindly sent me a sample of their two new products, the Beetroot Cocoa bars and the Carrot with Stem Ginger bars. Now I know what you are thinking: 'vegetables don't belong in cereal bars!' But oh my goodness, it works perfectly.

Beetroot Cocoa Bar

Now, the beetroot flavour her is very subtle and adds a good amount of sweetness to the bar. It wasn't like eating pickled beetroot so worry not, it was more like a slight earthy sweetness that just worked incredibly well. The cocoa was perfect, strong but not overpowering. Overall, a brilliant bar!

Stem Ginger & Carrot Bar

This one had a strong ginger flavour and actually reminded me a lot of ginger bread. The carrot helped to tone down the ginger whilst adding a bit of sweetness to it. It was a nice addition with my usual breakfast of overnight oats! Overall, I enjoyed this bar and the company have been really clever in the way that they have incorporated vegetables into these bars.

Kind Bars

These Kind bars are simply delicious, they are chewy and sticky yet have a good crunch to them thanks to the plethora of nuts in it. The flavour was natural and subtly sweet so as to not seem artificial or sickly. There are only natural ingredients in it and they are sweetened with honey. The fruity flavour shines through wonderfully and adds a freshness to them that you just can't beat! They are a great source of energy because of all the nuts and fruit in them and leave you feeling nothing less than satisfied after munching on one! They are typically £2.00 a bar which I must admit is quite expensive but I think that they are imported from America originally.
