Portlebay Popcorn

You must be getting fed up of me what with all the popcorn reviews but I promise that this will be the last for a while and I am going out with a bang because, oh my goodness these Portlebay flavours are delicious!
They are all excellent quality with fresh, soft pieces and no unpopped corn kernels (something which irritates me to no end!). I honestly can't find much to fault this delicious tasting popcorn on because it is just so good! I think that my favourite flavour had to be the Wasabi and Sweet Ginger which surprised me, I normally stay away from wasabi as it is too spicy and hurts my nose to eat them but the ginger worked incredibly well and toned the wasabi down! And as a result I absolutely loved it!
Overall they are a good quality popcorn with unique and delicious flavours that have left me excited for all future offerings from Portlebay!
The kind people at Portlebay did send me these but as always I gave an honest review

I love popcorn, I truly do. It has to be one of my favourite snacks because it can be sweet, savoury or a bit of both! I decided to try the Chocolate Crackle flavour of the Metcalfes range. The bag contains only 230 calories which although much higher than the other flavours but it is a larger bag, plus it contains chocolate too which is always a nice addition to practically anything.
The coating on the popcorn is a little uneven so the flavour was a bit hit and miss which was sad because when you got a hit of the chocolate toffee flavour it was simply divine!
Overall I am a little on the fence because despite it being tasty It is rather filling so makes a really good afternoon snack that doesn't leave you wanting more. But I must say that the price is rather off putting at £1.50 a bag it is quite pricey, especially when there are other brands that are just as nice if not better in bigger bags for less.

Ben & Jerry's Raspberry and Chocolate Chunk Greek Style Yogurt

So I finally got my hands on the last of the new Ben & Jerry's flavours, Raspberry Chocolate Chunk, which consists of a raspberry base with chocolate chunks. This flavour is only available in the 500ml tubs so you can treat yourself to as much as you want!
The raspberry base was quite subtle in flavour but rather enjoyable none the less and worked very well with the dark chocolate chunks which were obviously of a good quality. I wouldn't have minded eating a bar of that actually! The flavour reminded me a bit of the Cherry Garcia Frozen Yogurt flavour that they used to do except without the chunks of cherry in it, so it is a winner in my book!

Ben & Jerry's All or Nutting Ice Cream

Ben & Jerry's seem to be on a roll at the moment and have released yet another ice cream flavour and quite a unique one at that! The new flavour is called 'All or Nutting', as it is a core flavour it has two ice cream components, they are chocolate ice cream which had the standard chocolate Ben & Jerry's taste to it and the other half was hazelnut ice cream which I thought was rather nice, it was nutty but not overwhelmingly so, and lastly the core. It was simply divine, it was basically Nutella but richer and somehow more indulgent, this had to be my favourite part of the ice cream and I would happily eat a tub of just the core! (I suppose that this would basically be a jar of Nutella)
Overall this is a good ice cream that is unique in comparison to the traditional ice creams and definitely worth a try, particularly if you love Nutella

Mango Danio Yogurt

The Danio range has recently expanded as you will have seen from my last post and today I am sharing my view on the Mango flavour with you and once again I am sadly disappointed. The strained yogurt itself was lovely; thick, creamy, indulgent and nicely tart but the mango fruit layer at the bottom has a rather medicinal flavour which was just awful! It had so much potential because mango can be such a good and strong flavour when done right but this just doesn't do it justice.
I really wouldn't recommend this as it is isn't particularly enjoyable, but I suppose it is rather filling which is something good and low in fat.

Honey Danio Yogurt

Greek or strained yogurt as it is often known has to be my all time favourite because of how thick, creamy and filling it is. Packed with protein and calcium you just know it is good for you!
So when I found out about the expansion of the Danio range, I jumped at the chance to try the newest flavours that they had on offer.
The yogurt itself is quite tart as it is 0% fat but I quite like the flavour, it is the honey that I have a bit of a problem with because it was quite runny and I just didn't enjoy the flavour. Perhaps it is because I usually eat acacia honey and I am used to that flavour but either way I didn't really enjoy it. Or at least not enough to have it again.

Braw Raw Food Bars

So I received this lovely package from the kind people at Braw. Braw are a company that make vegan raw food bars, a bit like Nak'd bars if I were to compare them to anything.

And I can honestly say that they were absolutely delicious! So fruity and natural tasting, obviously due to all of the ingredients being totally natural. There was a lovely oaty flavour that was present in all of the bars. My favourite had to be the apple and pear, it was so morit would have been a lovely pudding with the addition of custard!

The black current flavour reminded me of Ribena with its sweet yet slightly tartness (which worked perfectly in my opinion).
The cocoa orange flavour was also lovely, and so was the strawberry.

Ben & Jerry's Vanilla Honey Caramel Greek Style Frozen Yogurt

I have finally gotten around to trying the Vanilla Honey Caramel flavour of the new Ben & Jerry's Greek Style FroYo and goodness me I am glad. It is simply divine! I personally cannot tell the difference between this and regular ice cream, it is creamy, sweet, and just delicious. I absolutely love it. Although it is lower in calories to most other regular ice creams it is still rather high for FroYo but if I'm honest it is so worth it because unlike other FroYo it actually is creamy with a good melt, not icy at all - something which always puts me off.
Overall it is delicious and is actually better and creamier than some regular non reduced fat ice cream which is pretty darn impressive

Ben & Jerry's Greek Style Strawberry Ice Cream

It is always a pleasure to see the latest flavours of Ben & Jerry's on offer so you can imagine my delight when I saw that there are actually four out! Three Greek Style and one Core flavour, I shall be reviewing them all over the coming week or two so keep watching!
I decided to try the Strawberry Shortcake Greek style, and I can say that it was absolutely delicious! It was creamy with chunks of strawberry in and massive pieces of shortbread which had the perfect texture, it hadn't gone soft with the ice cream as I initially feared but had retained a satisfying crunch that worked very well with the sweet and soft ice cream
The base flavour was lovely, as a vegetarian I think it is quite hard to find strawberry flavoured products because they often use carmines to colour it, so I am thrilled that I can have this tasty delight!
Also, another little bonus is that it is about 100 fewer calories than the regular Ben & Jerry's ice cream 150ml tubs so I can indulge with none of the guilt!

New Cadburys Lu Biscuit

Cadburys seem to be on a roll bringing out new products and I am absolutely thrilled because this is quite a unique product for the UK (although I am aware that there is a Milka equivalent, but we won't dwell on that too much now).
The packaging is rather nice, simple but very appealing with the classic Cadburys look about it.
Upon opening the new Cadburys Dairy Milk and Lu biscuit bar and I was greeted by the delicious and comforting smell that we all know and love of Cadburys.
I couldn't wait to taste this new creation. The flavour was very sweet but still enjoyable because of its size I presume. It isn't too much so that it is sickly but enough to satisfy a chocolate craving, perfect with a cup of tea as an afternoon snack.
I rather enjoyed this bar and would strongly recommend you all to try it yourself, I am looking forward to trying the Ritz one because I am a lover of the sweet & salty flavour combination

Limited Edition Banoffee Muller Corner

Yet again I am here trying the latest offering from Muller and for a change it isn't half bad. The Banoffee Pie Muller Corner is rather pleasant, not a taste sensation or revolutionary but with a nice creamy banana yogurt (that tastes a lot like the yogurt that they use in their banana and chocolate hoops flavour) that works very well with the white chocolate coated biscuit balls (which also tasted a lot like the chocolate hoops despite it being white and not milk chocolate). Come to think of it, it tasted an awful lot like that flavour, hmmm perhaps a bit of a sneaky switch up but pretty much the same flavour but in a slightly different form.
Overall it is nice enough yogurt, better than most of the other muller corners that I have reviewed before but nothing exceptional, probably not even worth a try if I am honest.
